VP – Strategic Partnerships

I love to share resources, contacts and information to help our members continually improve their employment and staffing strategies, internal operations, and strategic partnerships. I encourage all members to get involved and share your knowledge and experience as well. As members engage more with each other and with their Association, members will be continually motivated and challenged to try new innovations in online recruiting and workforce development.

My goal is to enable our members to create strategic partnerships and initiatives for their own organizations through tapping into the network of strategic partnerships developed by DirectEmployers Association on behalf of our members. Our strategic partners include government, education and community organizations. These partners provide resources and support to our members as we collaborate together to positively influence and advance various employment, workforce development, and online recruiting initiatives.

Industry Achievements

Implemented an online application process at nation’s largest Class I railroad in early 1999. Efficiencies created by this later resulted in winning the 2004 Optimas Award for “Managing Change” from Workforce Management magazine (automated and re-engineered the railroad’s employment function with a ROI of $3.3M over 4.5 years, reduced cost per hire 6%, hiring cycle time 29%, and headcount 38%). Developed an award-winning military recruiting strategy and program at the railroad and achieved the nation’s #1 Most Military-Friendly Employer in both 2005 and 2006, and #2 in 2007. Also developed an innovative business-education-community partnership in North Platte, Nebraska, where we collaborated with the Department of Labor and created a company storefront concept for recruiting support (reduced cost per hiring session by 81%, with a ROI of 162% over 4.5 months).
