Social Media Coordinator
On a daily basis, there continues to be endless amounts of information published regarding social media, but don’t let it overwhelm or discourage you. If you’re looking for ways to leverage social media within your organization, consider how it can be used for the entire talent lifecycle including prospective, current, and exiting employees as well as alumni. Consult with your peers, partners and stakeholders to develop an approach that is specific to your organization. Be strategic and invest the time and resources into the research and planning stages.
It’s also important to be aware of the legal boundaries and ensure your recruiters and/or hiring managers don’t violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Equal Opportunity Act. Like other HR-related techonologies such as applicant tracking systems, social media is constantly evolving, and with it so are methods to use it to your advantage to make recruiting more cost-effective, improve the quality of hires, and enhance your employer brand.
“If you are going through hell, keep going.”
