It is extremely important that Employers make their voices heard on a current two-question dot jobs (.jobs) Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) survey.

A link to the SHRM survey, new videos, and a white paper created by DirectEmployers Association to explain the .jobs initiative are all available at www.universe.jobs.

Your name and responses to the SHRM survey will remain confidential.

On the SHRM survey you are given the opportunity to answer the following question:
How might this (the .jobs initiative) be helpful for HR professionals?

Based on collective feedback from employers, below are examples of responses you may wish to use to answer this question. Please feel free to use one or two of these or create your own response.

  • Easy navigation allows job seekers to enter a desired city, state, geographic region, or occupation plus .jobs (Atlanta.jobs, Nursing.jobs, AtlantaNursing.jobs etc.) in their browser for access to relevant jobs.
  • .jobs will provide every employer with low-cost and no-cost online recruitment advertising opportunities.
  • Military Occupational Classification (MOC) .jobs will help skilled transitioning military personnel quickly find and apply to employer jobs.
  • Since .jobs is a single platform and not comprised of hundreds of job boards, jobs will automatically appear in the appropriate city, state, country, and occupational .jobs URLs.
  • It will provide a single interface for posting jobs to niche, targeted locations.
  • Provides a powerful jobs platform where job seekers can search all jobs across employer career sites with results guaranteed to be real jobs from real employers, free of scams, duplicate job listings, and expired jobs.
  • Job seekers connect directly to the hiring employer resulting in a faster, more efficient hiring process.
  • Only employment related advertising and content will be allowed in the .jobs universe ensuring the job seeking experience is not tainted with spam and phishing schemes.
  • .jobs poses a fantastic opportunity for employer branding only to relevant and targeted job seekers.
  • .jobs can provide meaningful good faith efforts for Diversity, Disability, Military and other special interest groups employers seek to hire.
  • .jobs is the first Top Level Domain to centralize the entire world of online recruiting, dramatically cutting employer costs, improving targeted job seeker flow and efficiencies while driving innovation.
